Raymah Governorate is one of the governorates of Yemen and is located in the north of the country. It is a mountainous governorate characterized by its rugged and rocky terrain and wide plateaus.
Raymah Governorate is affected by the climate of the nearby mountainous regions, which is a mild climate, in addition to the tropical plains climate that prevails in the summer, making temperatures reach 40 degrees Celsius. Groundwater is located largely in this province, as there are many springs and rivers in it, and it is famous for the cultivation of qat and coffee.
Raymah Governorate is home to many important archaeological and historical monuments, including Dhamar Castle, which dates back to the third century BC, and the monastery church known as the Red House, which is believed to have been the seat of the Abyssinian kings in the fifth century AD.
